Butterflies & Moths
Butterflies and moths1 are the result of caterpillars coming to term with their transformation.
- Moth have counter sonar capabilities to prevent bats from eating them; humans have anti-radar and anti-sonar devices, but they are quite bulky
- Some butterflies migrate, the most well known is the monarch that uses the sun with their compass; humans used the sun, the stars, the Earth magnetic poles, and now GPS devices
- 1. Note that the English language distinguishes between butterflies (day time) and moth (night time) but in terms of taxonomy, they are from the same family.
